A new patent has been published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office that was filed by the Cupertino company back in August 2020, revealing aspects of design that was last seen in the Apple II in 1977.

With the increased efficiency advantages, both in thermal and compute performance, offered by Apple's in-house Mac silicon, it would not be unreasonable to expect this keyboard computer to be packing a lot of power.

In typical Apple fashion, the device seems to have a minimal and a functional design, featuring a single port for both I/O and display outputs. Such a device can be positioned as a portable pc, that is flexible enough to fit any display size you want, unlike a laptop.

At the time of writing however, it is unclear when and whether this device would make it to the market at all. The prospects of such a device excite us at KineTech, as it could be aggressively priced and stand as an excellent entry into the Mac ecosystem.
