Galaxy Unpacked 2021 Rumour Roundup!
11th August was the date confirmed by Samsung for their up-coming Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event which is rumoured to bring updates to many of Samsung's well-known products, and in this article I will round-up and offer my opinions on the prevailing rumours.
Galaxy Z Fold 3
The successor to Samsung's premier folding device, the dual-screened Galaxy Z Fold 3 has been confirmed to be unveiled in the Unpacked event through the invitation, which depicts a series of coloured rectangles that closely resemble the Fold and the Flip phones. The phone has been rumoured to come with an Under-Display front camera, the first of its kind on a Samsung device. The rest of the phone is similar to most 2021 Flagships (Snapdragon 888 SOC, Triple camera setups and such).
Galaxy Z Flip 3
The successor to the other foldable line from Samsung, the Z Flip 3 is also confirmed to be unveiled at this event, as depicted by the invitation. This phone seems to be a minor update to the Z Flip 2, with no IDC (In Display Camera) in sight. This phone also runs on the Snapdragon 888 SOC and has been listed on Geekbench with 8GB of RAM.
Amongst these, rumors of the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Buds 2 have been spreading for a while.
The Galaxy Watch 4 is purportedly the first Samsung Smartwatch to run on WearOS (with the OneUI Watch skin on top) instead of Samsung's TizenOS. The Watch 4 has two variants of 40mm and 42mm while the Watch 4 Classis has a 42 and a 46mm variants. Both the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic sport the same 1.19-inch and 1.36 inches display sizes.
The Galaxy Buds 2 have been spotted in some leaked renders, sporting a slightly modified design. The Buds 2 have been rumoured to feature ANR (Active Noise Reduction). We at KineTech are excited to check it out and figure out the difference between ANC and ANR.
