Blitz Review: iOS 15 Developer Beta 1!
Updated: Jun 17, 2021
iOS 15 was one of the major software announcements by Apple at WWDC21. Our team at KineTech has been using the Developer Beta 1 for the past 5 days now and here are our thoughts!
1. Performance:
Doesn’t feel like a beta version!
That’s true! iOS 15 Beta 1 is so much polished that sometimes you forget you’re using a beta version. Yes, there are some minor crashes and bugs here and there, but overall it’s an assured 8/10 in terms of performance for me!
There’s no lag in gaming too! I ran PUBG Mobile on my iPhone 12 mini and faced no lag with no frame drops! The game runs at constant 60fps, and that too with graphics settings of HDR+Extreme. (Don’t look at my username lol)
2. Battery Life:
Much better than iOS 14.6
My iPhone 12 mini was running at 3 hours screen-on time (intensive), 4 hours screen-on time (balanced) and 6 hours screen-on time on the public version of iOS 14.6
After updating to iOS 15 Developer Beta 1, screen-on time has been better and the phone is cooler than on iOS 14.6.

Conclusion: This version is one of the most stable iOS versions, period. We still do not recommend you to install it on your primary device for the specific reasons:
Frequent Resprings (twice in 5 days).
Minor App crashes.
Less Efficient RAM Management.
Excess Storage used. I had 14
GB free and now I have 10GB free.
