Nothing surprises us, here are my predictions

Source: Nothing Carl Pei will go live on March 23rd to reveal Nothing's future plans, product roadmap and here are my thoughts on what could be coming:

• While this could be just another wireless earphone or a successor to the ear (1), Carl's recent tweets, certain reports, nothing's own communication can be a reason for us to be excited about nothing.

• A new smartphone: Recently a photo of Carl Pei with Qualcomm CEO during MWC Barcelona was shared by Evan Blass and this has created several speculations about the much anticipated Nothing Phone, there's a strong likeliness that we might get some news about when we could get hands on one.

• A new skin/launcher?: Carl Pei had recently tweeted this and this has further emboldened the probability of a new phone coming soon but also of a new android skin, coz he could probably be conducting a market survey via this tweet to understand what a techie (the current primary audience of nothing) needs. This could also lead to a new launcher and we are already witnessing a possibility of so because just a few days later, he officially switched to android.

Expansion of audio catalogue🎧: While this is obvious, nothing will probably diversify itself to make cheaper tws for developing markets and also continue building an airpod competitor at the same time with the successor to ear (1).

Okay now let's enter the slightly wild west territory of predictions: Web3, NFT, Crypto projects: Recently Carl Pei has been increasingly involved with the web3, nft community and by increasingly involved, he is really quite involved in this space, just take a look at his nft collection on open sea for example: https://opensea.io/getpeid

While that could have been ignored as a way for Carl Pei to diversify his personal portfolio, there are a few other tweets, his past history with community building and crowdfunding for nothing, which make this a lot more than that in my opinion, here's another tweet by him, probably studying the web3 market in this case (this could even be him trying to network but there's a chance that it isnt which we will get to):

He has recently invested into Bored ape yacht club, Adidas's nft project and these could be a way for Carl to study the dynamics of a community built on nft projects and since he has done crowdfunding before (even though that was limited to a few countries who allowed an average consumer to do so) crypto projects could be a way for him to better raise from the community or maybe just become a new way for Carl to foster the nothing community with something like a DAO token or a community crypto to build a new forum for nothing users to interact on. Obviously this idea has several caveats as crypto is still in a gray area for most countries but this could definitely be a possibility if Nothing can navigate the challenges.
