Twitter Blue: Buggy and Impractical.
Twitter Blue was revealed on June 3rd, 2021 and we think that it is not practical for a regular customer. Let’s talk about the features that you get on Twitter Blue.
This is the list of features you get for an additional $3.49 CAD or $4.49 AUD per month:
1. Bookmark Folders: It lets you organize the Tweets you’ve saved by letting you manage content so when you need it, you can find it easily and efficiently.
2. Undo Tweets: You can set a customizable timer of up to 30 seconds to click ‘Undo’ before the Tweet, reply, or thread you’ve sent posts to your timeline. People are going mad over this feature but according to us, this feature should be a default!
3. Reader Mode: It improves the experience of reading a tweet which includes long threads.
Other than that, you get no ads+ customisable app icons.
Why is it impractical?
The point is that these features do not deserve to be in a subscription format. Except for the free ads, all the other features are stuff that a use can experience for free anyways.
Paying a monthly subscription to avail some extra features over the free app, that too for a social app is completely impractical. And it’s not cheap either, $3.49 CAD is about ₹200 in India. Keep in mind that an Apple Music subscription is ₹100 per month in India.
And not only that, the service is quite buggy too. Ever since the launch, many subscribers have placed complaints on Twitter regarding the bugs. Twitter may fix them in a future update.
Paying a monthly subscription for social apps is the most impractical thing to do. They are already earning when you’re scrolling through their app, don’t waste your hard-earned money!
