On May 20, @verified by Twitter said they have started verifying people again.

All you have to do is, Tweet "Never gonna give you up @Twitter" and done, You're verified, Nah, I am just kidding.

Here's how you can actually verify on Twitter!

Click on settings, Then account, You'll see an option called "Verification request"

But hold on, There are some things you should have before you get that badge.

  1. You have to select who you are. There a lot of options to select from.

  2. Then you have to send them a photo of your Government-issued id, Your official email address, and your official website.

And you're done! but don't get too excited, There are some more things you need to do.

Your account must be active with a record of adherence to the Twitter Rules. This means:

  • You must have a profile name, and a profile image;

  • You must have logged into the account in the last six months;

  • The account must have a confirmed email address or phone number

  • The account must not have had a 12-hour or 7-day lockout for violating the Twitter Rules in the past 12 months (excluding successful appeals).

There are rules for every category. Honestly, It feels like a captcha but for Twitter.

Also, There are some accounts that cannot be verified like: Parody, newsfeed, commentary, and unofficial fan accounts.

  • Pets and fictional characters, unless directly affiliated with a verified Company, Brand, or Organization, or with a verified entertainment production, as described above;

  • Accounts engaged in severe violations of our Platform manipulation and spam policy, such as the buying and selling of followers and engagement; and

  • Accounts of individuals or groups associated with coordinated harmful activity, or hateful content as defined in Twitter’s Ads Policies, or that have been found to have committed gross human rights violations by an international court/tribunal, or a fact-finding mission or commission of inquiry authorized by an international organization, may be ineligible for verification – even if their activity on Twitter doesn’t violate the Twitter Rules.

Here are some Articles by Twitter that help you understand this verification more!

All the best! I hope you get verified! And Remember, Not having the verified Tick Doesn't make you less cool.
