OnePlus Buds Pro VS Nothing Ear 1: Which one should you go for?
The Nothing Ear 1 and the OnePlus Buds Pro have a lot in common. But, according to me, their prices will make or break the product. We already know what the Nothing Ear 1 costs, and it's an amazing pricing strategy for a product of such calibre. So, here's a comparison between the two newly launched TWS Earbuds!
Design:
Even though design preference is based on personal opinions, I love the design of the Nothing earbuds and absolutely hate the case of them. The square shape makes it look outdated and it's large enough that you feel it in your pocket.
The OnePlus Buds Pro took a more generic look, but i guess we all have seen this design in some other cough cough (aPpLe) wireless earbuds.
Sound:
The Nothing Ear 1s have 11.6mm Drivers and weigh 4.70gm. The OnePlus Buds Pro have 11mm Drivers and weigh 4.35gm. Both earbuds have Active Noise Cancellation and support Transparency Mode. For a price of $99, the Nothing Ear 1s sound better than Apple AirPods Pro, according to famous YouTuber MrWhoseTheBoss. We do not yet know the pricing of OnePlus Buds Pro but according to me, they will be around $149-$169.
Battery and Charging:
The OnePlus Buds support both fast wired charging as well as Qi Wireless charging. Without the case, the OnePlus Buds Pro can be used for upto 7 hours. The Nothing Ear 1 support the same charging specs and have upto 34 hours of battery life with the case. We do not yet know the battery life per bud.
Connectivity:
Both earbuds support Bluetooth 5.2 for lower latency as well as better sound quality.
My take:
According to me, the Nothing Ear 1s ought to sell better than the OnePlus Buds Pro because of the pricing. But, OnePlus is a well-known brand which gives them a headstart. It's going to be a tough war and we are ready for it!
